Welcome to Sonamu Korean Restaurant, an authentic gem nestled in the heart of Turin, Italy. Located at Corso Peschiera, 160, this delightful eatery invites food lovers to embark on a culinary journey through the rich flavors of Korean barbecue. Founded with a passion for authentic cuisine, Sonamu offers a selection of traditional dishes that will transport you directly to Korea.
As I stepped into the restaurant, I was enveloped by an atmosphere that exudes warmth and hospitality. The decor elegantly reflects traditional Korean aesthetics, providing the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. Guests can enjoy well-arranged tables, enhancing the communal spirit often found in Korean dining.
The menu boasts a variety of delicious options, each demonstrating the essence of Korean flavors. One dish that has garnered rave reviews is the tteokbokki, a delightful fusion of spicy and sweet that has left guests like Daphne Martins enchanted. The combination of flavors creates a delightful balance that keeps you coming back for more. Additionally, the beloved bibimbap, often embraced by both locals and visitors alike, offers a generous portion of vibrant ingredients, making it a favorite choice for those yearning for a comforting meal.
Despite the occasional critique regarding the kimchi and its unique preparation, diners have found great solace in the overall experience—especially the helpful staff who make every visit enjoyable. Alexis Reyes praised the kimchi fried rice and emphasized the deliciousness of the meats—a testament to Sonamu's commitment to quality.
For those keen on variety, the fixed low-cost menu during weekdays and a la carte options on weekends present a tempting opportunity to indulge in multiple dishes. Loredana Durnea’s experience perfectly encapsulates the abundance and generosity that awaits at Sonamu. The portion sizes promote sharing and camaraderie, making it an ideal spot for gatherings with friends or family.
In summary, Sonamu Korean Restaurant stands as one of the premier destinations for Korean cuisine in Europe. I really enjoyed the food here, I ate tteokboki and kimchi and both were really good but I loved the tteokboki which was spicy and yet somehow sweet. My father ate bibimpap and kimchi, also very good. The portions were right for a person, neither big or small. ????????

The service is nice and I like the fact that they made the table arrangements! They are just big as how they are supposed to be and the atmosphere really gave off Korean restaurant vibes. Loved the service and the food. There’s only one thing about the food that I didn’t like was that the kimchi was kinda of overstored but I liked the fact that they tried to make it as korean as possible with the panchans and everything but the sauce in jeyukbeokkim was not really as how it’s supposed to be and the bulgogi sauce was too plain. Too sweet but in general, if you’re looking to experience korean dish, this place is really suitable, and would recommend!!!

Had lunch with friends and the staff members were so attentive and polite, the food amazing and portions were generous and overly abundant. Durning the week you can choose a fixed low cost menu while on the weekends a la carte! If you want to taste multiple dishes beware of the quantity of food! I would have had enough with half of what I ordered but then we split between friends! Perhaps I could’ve asked for doggy bag but haven’t considered it back then! Overall we all were happy and full when we left the place! Will be back soon

I ordered spicy Tteokbokki and Gopchang jeongol. It was brilliant. Tteokbokki is sweet and spicy, same with what is sold some street store in front of elementary school in Korea. And for Gopchang jeongol, it tasted rather a hot Soondoobu soup than original Korean Gopchang jeongol, but anyway it was good.

It’s not super authentic but it’s adapted version of Korean BBQ. The price is not bad, €30 per person, we were full and we had wine and beer.

What an amazing place! Delicious Bibimbap for a good price. Went there twice, even though, I should rather enjoy the piemont cuisine Tells you, how good it is! Will miss this place! Go and try it yourself
